Christmas Quiz Tip 2025

In most establishments the last quiz before Christmas is Christmas themed. Most include a round on Christmas (and we usually provide a free Christmas round), but what else can you do? Well, here are a few of ideas you might want to consider:

  1. The word Christmas has nine letters, which is convenient for an Initial Letters round. Nine questions, the answers to which start with C, H, R etc. and the answer to question ten is “What do the initial letters spell?”
  2. Another idea is to have a round where all the answers include a word associated with Christmas. For example, “In politics what does SNP stand for?” – answer: Scottish National Party, which includes the word Party (Christmas Party). Other answers, which we’ll let you work out: Present Tense, Red Rose, Family Tree, Jimmy White and High Jumper.
  3. Another round that we have included was called Ho Ho Ho. All ten answers started with the letters HO – not the most difficult round that we’ve put together, but the Christmas Quiz is usually a bit “lighter” than the other quiz nights.
  4. There are nine reindeer, if you include Rudolph, which lends itself to a Quiz Round. We have done a Picture Round where nine pictures represent their names - amusingly, Rudolph Nureyev was Rudolph AND Dancer. Or you could have nine questions with the answers containing the nine names. Or simply have a table round to list as many as you can, with a bonus for all nine in order.
