Two regulars in the Jolly Quizmaster recently returned from a golfing holiday. They are extremely keen and would have played as often as possible. They are also very competitive and had a bet on every round that they played, and no match could finish all square - they would play extra holes to determine the winner.
The bet was £10 on each round of golf. Bob won four games. Joe ended the holiday up by £50.
How many times did they play?

13 games.
If Bob won 4 games. Joe needs to win 4 games to get back to even. If Joe ends up £50 up he must win anothe r 5 games. Total 13 games.
