Pet Shop Prices Quiz Puzzle Answer

There is a pet shop not far from Quiz Master Shop Towers, and one of our colleagues wanted to buy a Rabbit for her daughter's birthday. So one lunchtime we all went along, as we don't get out much :-)

There were quite a few animals in the pet shop; a Cat was for sale for £7, a Parrot had a price tag of £8, a Fish was a very reasonable £4, but the Hamster at £11 seemed quite pricey, and the Spider for £14 appeared to be incorrectly priced but it was correct.

We then saw a Rabbit, which after all was what our colleague wanted to buy, but it had no price on the hutch. So we enquired of the proprietor as to the price.

He smiled and said "You of all people should be able to work it out!"

So, how much did we pay for the Rabbit?

The price of each of the animals is the number of legs it has added to the number of letters in its name. In the case of a Rabbit, four legs added to six letters making £10.
