How Hard Can It Be?

Last month our Tip was about giving hints, or rather about not giving hints; however that's not to say you shouldn't make things easier for your teams, or harder.

Once you've read out the question that's it - don't change it, and don't give hints. But before you read it - that's a different matter.

If you think the question is too hard for your audience you can make a question easier by changing (for example) “who” to “which footballer” or even “which Chelsea player”.

And likewise, if it's too easy you can change "which footballer" to "who".

The key is to do it before reading the question, so everyone hears the one version, and gets on with it.
